You may be wondering why the GAN 11 M Pro isn’t the best speedcube, and that is based purely on price. The overall cube would be slightly better than the WR M 2020, however, wouldn’t appeal to those who would prefer a much cheaper option. Putting into perspective, the GAN 11 M Pro is almost double the price of the WR M 2020, however, don’t let that stop you. The GAN 11 M Pro is still a really great cube that would appeal to MANY cubers who don’t have a budget, or perhaps cubers who are looking for the BEST cube to compete with. I bought myself a GoCube a couple of years ago to learn cubing on and when my son expressed an interest I bought him a GAN 356 M. I had a play with the GAN and it felt really nice and smooth. I was aware of the GAN 11M Pro being a "nice but expensive" option and decided to treat myself. But that doesn’t mean that it isn’t a great cube. For the price, I would say, the cube matches and follows with no trouble, for this cube had huge expectations that GANCube have met. Definitely a great cube that are the mains of many, however, how does it compare to the rest? And is there any competition? Why is the GAN 11 M Pro NOT the best speedcube?

By far my favourite cube, my other son has a MoYu Weilong GTS2M and I had originally bought a MoYu Weilong GTS2 (no magnets!). It feels very comfortable, just a joy to cube with. Maybe not the best choice if you are just starting out, the MoYu RS3M is much cheaper and is good enough to get started without spending loads of money.

Out of the box, the cube provides great 45 degree+ corner cutting forward, as well as a normal degree reverse (Line to Line) - through setup this improved further to a great 47 degree forward. (Overall Thoughts) This cube is highly configurable and has the most advanced design innovations of any cube on the market and will no doubt be an absolute pleasure to cube and break records with. GAN’s new omnidirectional magnetic core is the industry’s first corner-core magnetic positioning system. In addition to the 48 traditionally placed magnets inside the cube’s pieces, the GAN 11 M Pro features 8 pairs of magnets stemming from the core to each corner base. This magnetic positioning system creates a consistent magnetic feel that is strong without an aggressive snap. Out of the box, the cube felt as great as if it was lubricated and broken in. With the primary internals clearly came speed, as the cube spent no time to warm up, and was really good out of the box. Although it had a scratchy feel, this was easily fixed with lubrication, as well as breaking in the factory lubrication that was already there. And it wasn’t just this.This new speed cube introduces the concept of the new GAN Magnetic Core which holds a total of 8 magnets. You can adjust the magnet strength in the corner pieces to be either stronger or weaker by simply sliding them from one side to another.
