Hearthkyn Kinlynk - The comms expert can give an action point to a friendly operative at the cost of one of its own, but they come armed with 2 ranged weapons, the ceaseless Autoch-pattern bolter and P1 on a crit Ion Blaster, so are capable on their own. They also have a System Jam action that can stop an enemy operative from activating until all other enemy operatives have been activated, to mess with your opponent's activation sequencing.

There’s also a change to Critical Operations Missions which increases the Victory Point cap on the mission objective to 16. Individuality has been prioritised, and each figure is its own unique character. This is only exemplified further with the upgrade sprue, which allows you to build all sorts of different miniatures – all of which I’ve built above ‘cos, well, they looked way cool.And what’s more, the upgrade sprue that comes with these guys ensures that even if you own a unit or regular Hearthkyn Warriors, you’re unlikely to build the same model twice. Settling Grudges, kill those who have wronged you can be rewarded fabulously. First point at 2 settled grudges, second point at 3. This seems stunningly easy for a team with such good guns.

It’s going to take some sturdy operatives to uncover the secrets of this enigmatic space hulk, and the promise of glory, riches, or just a good scrap are drawing even more factions into the fray.Hearthkyn are no slouches when it comes to strategic depth. Need Keeps, allows you to nominate an objective as critical, giving all Salvagers one higher apl when determining control of the objective. Toil Earns turns an objective into a danger zone for enemies, letting all friendly Kyn treat enemies with 3 inches as having one additional grudge token. Meanwhile, for shooting defense, you can call on Wrought Defence to allow all operatives who retain a critical save to select one failure as a success (similar to Protected by Fate from Legionaries). Proximate Firepower allows players to work through the 4+ BS of the Salvagers by improving their BS by 1 while within 6” of their target.

Gallowfall is the name of a planet that has been taken over by Chaos forces, and the Kill Team is tasked with infiltrating the planet and disrupting the enemy’s operations. The game is designed for two players, who take turns commanding their Kill Team and trying to achieve their objectives while eliminating the enemy.Yeah. The light effects are slightly different on each. Other than that, the images are all the same. I actually managed to get mine painted up – here they are in my Doom 2016/Doom Eternal Doomslayer-inspired colours. I made no secret of it when we reviewed the Leagues of Votann Army Set – I am a big fan of Warhammer 40,000’s newest faction. I love the look of them, and think they’re bags of fun. There’s also tons of diversity across the armies too, with faces representing a mix of ethnicities and genders. What’s more, there are absolutely loads of build options too, so tons of opportunities to personalise your figures.
