Dr. Rangan Chatterjee has an inspiring vision for making vibrant health achievable for everyone. Heis undoubtedly in the vanguard of the new medicine, and I cannot support him more strongly.” I really feel that when you take just 15 minutes a day to do three five-minute actions, you start to build up a picture of who you are. You start to show yourself that, hey, I’m someone that’s worth taking care of. I’m someone that no matter how busy work is or how much work I have to do, to take my kids to school, and do all the work and the housework, you know what? Despite all of that, I still give myself 15 minutes a day in three five-minute intervals, which is achievable for pretty much anyone, and it really helps to change the identity about how you feel about yourself.
Feel Better in 5 is the first daily 5-minute plan that is easy to maintain, easy-to-follow and requires only the smallest amount of willpower. This book speaks lots of common sense. Rangan Chatterjee: Netflix, YouTube, they all do the same thing. They roll one episode into another. So before you’ve had a chance at midnight to go, man, I should go to sleep, I’ve got to be up early tomorrow, you’re into to the next episode of your box set, right? I get it.Marie Forleo: That was so much fun, wasn’t it? I highly recommend that you get the book because it’s awesome.
This book shows that behavioural economics doesn’t have to be the spawn of Satan. It shows that it can be used for good as well as evil. The key theme in Feel Better in 5 is “bitesize”. Not just in the content but also in the way ideas and tips are presented. Dr. Chatterjee’s philosophy is that if we’re trying to improve our health and wellbeing, we should aim to make small changes (bitesize) but make them regular so they can bring tangible results and are sustainable over time rather than overwhelm us and we give up shortly after starting. The good news is that there is a proven way to successfully treat illness. It’s what I call progressive medicine. I’ve dedicated my life to this new way of thinking.
