Makima figures that if she can control Chainsaw Man, she could erase things such as war, hunger, and other things that have plagued humankind. Well, as I said, that sounds noble but it would involve a lot of killing and, thus, could lead to a diminished world that would leave Makima in control. After Volume 9’s big reveal, this was quite the spectacular follow-up. Although Makima’s scheme is a bit generic for a supervillain, it still fits. Since they showed Denji still having some human qualities of his past life, it’ll definitely come into play next volume to wrap things up.
